What credits represent
Credits are the platform's usage unit for running agents, models, and supported tools. The amount charged depends on the selected agent, model, tools, and actual usage. Current product surfaces show the relevant prices and balance; this guide intentionally does not hard-code plan allowances or prices.
Credit categories
Your total balance includes the following categories, named as they appear in Billing. You do not need to choose which category to spend.
Event: promotional or event grants.
Daily refresh: the daily allowance for your current membership tier.
Monthly: credits included in your active paid membership allowance.
Add-on: separately added credits when that option is available.
Free: non-daily free credits, including eligible account grants.
Spending order
monkeys deducts usage charges in this order: Event → Daily refresh → Monthly → Add-on → Free. If one category does not cover the charge, the remainder comes from the next available category.
Refresh and expiry
Daily refresh credits renew for each new UTC day (starting at 00:00 UTC) when you next check your balance or start a task. The allowance depends on your current membership tier and any monthly limit on daily grants. Each refresh replaces unused daily credits rather than adding to them; they do not accumulate. Free credits are separate grants, not leftover daily credits. Unspent Monthly credits expire when the next allowance cycle starts, when they are replaced by the new allowance, or when the paid membership period ends. For any other expiry conditions, follow the terms shown when credits are granted.
Check the credit indicator for your current total. Because refresh and billing updates can happen outside the open page, reload or reopen the balance surface when you need the latest value.
Charges and low balance
A task normally charges for usage it actually incurs, including usage before a confirmed stop. Concurrent runs can reserve part of your available balance. If available credit is exhausted, a supported task may pause and expose a resume path after the balance condition is resolved; a new request can also be blocked until credits are available.
