Reply when an agent asks
A supported agent can pause with a question card when it needs a decision. Paused means the agent has handed control to you: it will not continue working on that task until you answer. Choose the offered option or options, add the requested text where available, and submit the reply.
What your reply does
Submit your choices or send a text reply to let the agent continue the task with your decision in the same conversation. The work done after your reply is billed separately based on its usage.
Answer every required question.
Review multi-select choices before submitting.
Use free text when none of the choices expresses your intent.
Do not send a duplicate message while the continuation is starting.
Stop active work
Use Stop to request cancellation of the active run. A stop request is not the same as a confirmed stop: if the UI says the run is still continuing, wait for the task to show that it has stopped or finished before assuming work ended. Once confirmed, partial messages and files already produced can remain visible, and usage already incurred can still consume credits.
Stopping does not erase the conversation and does not automatically start a replacement run. Send a new follow-up only after the task is no longer active.
Continue after a pause or finish
For an ordinary completed or stopped turn, type a follow-up in the same conversation. For a system pause that exposes Resume task—for example, an eligible balance or run-duration pause—use that control after resolving the condition shown by the notice. Resuming continues the same task, and the additional work is billed separately based on its usage. See Credits for balance behavior.
Read the pause or completion status.
Resolve any stated prerequisite.
Use
Resume taskonly when the notice offers it; otherwise send a follow-up.Check that the run card returns to an active state.
Leave and return safely
Active agent runs can continue while you open another conversation. Reopening the task from Tasks shows its current progress or final result, and a reload can reconnect to a still-running supported task. If you change to a different agent after history exists, monkeys starts a new task while keeping the existing conversation in your history.
